Prototype engineering and tooling for carbon composite components. Machined from billet aluminium , prototypes that are identical and have the mechanical properties of the cast component are produced enabling the parts to undergo field tests and allow design changes and improvements if required. Industries supplied have included motorsport, military, electronics and medical. Military field operations tablet computer casings. Tone arm prototype. Tapered bore to give 0.8mm wall thickness. Overall length 265mm. Total weight 35 grams Carbon fibre composite tooling The machining of bespoke components and tooling for motor sport - from karting to BTCC through to Formula 1 with tooling for carbon fibre components and bonding jigs for F1. Machined from selected grades of aluminium, moulds are machined on 5 axis machining centres, inspected using 'On machine verification' to confirm their accuracy and highly polished. Inspection reports are supplied with all tooling.
